Sarah Palin is not Ronald Reagan. RR was a military veteran and headed a major union when it fended off an attack by the communists. He studied history and political economy for a decade on General Electric's dime. He was a two-term Governor of our largest state. He was very well prepared for the Presidency.

Sarah Palin was Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, and only served two years of a term as Governor of one of our smallest states. She had trouble with basic questions in media interviews as a VP candidate.

Personally, I love her. I agree with her on just about all issues. She's a breath of fresh air in the media. But she's not qualified and wouldn't win.

People loath Obama? Yep, but they need a credible alternative. Don't believe me? Republicans ran the table in Colorado in statewide races and winnable Congressional races, but lost Senate and Governor because of weak candidates.

We call it the Palin Doctrine. It’s based on the principles that allies should be supported, dictators reviled, terrorists hunted down and enemies defeated. It also means the western world will not stand by at the bloody repression of a democratic revolution.

RR was a military veteran but he never saw combat due to a problem with his eyesight. He was an officer who served in Public Relations here in the US.
