It’s not going to happen as a spectacle - that is, it’s not something we can passively await. Although prayer is welcome here, maybe even necessary, and possibly the only thing at times we can do.
If we’re together on this, and I think it’s well over 99% of people on this site, there’s hope, if we’re coordinated.
Tell me more about Nineveh, if you please.
where is congress on this?
where is the tea party?
where is the GOP?
they failed to stop obamacare.
no they are bending forward for homosexuals in the military.
The MSM is deathly silent.
Read the four chapters of Jonah in the Old Testament.
ONY, I fully agree, however, the force (I'm speaking spirtually here) that's been unleashed in full on our nation must be addressed through God. This thing is beyond you, me or "us". But there is hope but that hope has conditions and that is the full repentance of each of us. Non-Believers discount this but anyone with semi-intelligence and a knowledge of God, knows what needs to be done. See: II Chronicles 7:14
Regarding Jonah: (I'm in no way claiming to be a theologian, only a believer in Christ & God the Father) Jonah was extremely reluctant to go into the belly of the beast a.k.a. Nineveh. From what I gather in the Bible, Nineveh was depraved (much like the U.S. now). However, for whatever reason, God allowed Nineveh another chance and sent Jonah to 'preach' the Word of God to them. They were on their last leg (so to speak) and destruction was as sure as me sitting here typing. From what I've read & from what I've been taught, Jonah refused because Nineveh was so corrupted and depraved...but God had other 'plans'.
With that said I'm going to quote the following (I apologize that this is lengthy...but you did ask)
When God had finally 'rounded' Jonah up, he went into the city to preach described as follows:
"So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days journey."
"And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey and he cried, and said Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown."
"So the people of Nineveh believed God and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them."
"For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes."
"And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water":
"But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth and cry mightily unto God; yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands."
"Who can tell if God will turn and repent (change His mind), and turn away from His fierce anger, that we perish not?"
"And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that He had said that He would do unto them; and He did it not."
So you see, there is hope but excluding God is not an option if we truly want our country back.
If you are a praying person, please pray hard for our Country. If you are not, please...get your 'house' in line with God & Christ.
Like I said I apologize for the length of this but it couldn't be avoided in order to keep the 'context' right.
