I was recently watching "Heavy" on A&E. For those of you unfamiliar, it's a reality program about people desperate to shed pounds. In order to lose the weight, these dangerously obese individuals are taken to an exotic beachfront location for six months where a waifish staff tells them what to eat, when to eat, which exercises to perform and for how long. Every day is dictated by people who know better. To liberals, this fancy fat farm is a mini-version of the ideal America. It's impossible to retain a job while residing at the fat farm, therefore "Heavy" producers pay for the entire adventure. In other words, everything is taken care of and attendees have no real responsibilities other than to follow orders.

All you have to do is eat half what you usually eat and walk for 40 minutes. It’s unbelievably easy to lose weight.

Drop these people in Somalia and see how fast the weight comes off their shoulders.
... might not be as entertaining

SO, instead of two sandwiches for lunch I have decided to have just one triple loaded with bacon.
YUM.
and a soft drink.
(I bet if I simply lay off the bread and soda I’d lose weight)

The article isn’t about how to lose weight....
It’s an analogy of a fat farm where all you do is follow orders to the America the Obama regime dreams of where Americans just follow orders all day and life is beautiful all the time as a direct result.

"The CDC.gov website says adults need 7-9 hours of sleep."
I get maybe 7-8 hours of sleep on the weekends when I sleep in. During the week, I get about five hours of sleep. Too many things to do and too few hours in the day to enjoy it. People probably think that's crazy, but I always say sleep is overrated. Only half jokingly. I don't think we really need all this sleep. Perhaps kids need 7-8 hours of sleep. But this bunk about them needing 10 hours of sleep, that's just ridiculous and more evidence of the overall laziness of our society.
As for the fat farm, sounds interesting. Exotic island. Wonder if they could use a former heavy hat DI. I'll whip them into shape. We routinely had kids that lost 40 - 50 pounds in boot camp. That's over a three month period and these kids weren't obese, merely overweight. When I was in boot camp, we got a guy recylced to us who had lost 75 pounds in boot camp. He was still a little overweight and lost even more in while in our platoon. His skin was hanging off of him by the end of boot camp.
If I got some 500 pounders to work with, I'm sure I could motivate them to easily take off 100-150 pounds in no time. Sounds like Moochelle wants to have a heavy hat government DI on every corner in America making sure America is "shaping up". She should start with herself. In fact, I volunteer without pay to be the one to start on her fat rear end...

These morbidly obese gluttons would never get so disgustingly fat if they did not have Social Security and other handouts, extracted from people that work, to support their sedentary, anti-health lifestyles.

A liberal is utterly certain his neighbors are idiots and need professionals (government sanctioned technicians) to run their lives. The liberal, of course, is very wise ("enlightened" actually) and lives his life in perfect accord with the dictates of . . . well, the dictates of his own sanctimonious conscience.
Libs would prefer living under a dictatorship if only to reign in those idiotic neighbors.

Yet another exercise in the political and economic exploitation of bourgeois self-hatred.

I’m afraid that fat knows no political affiliation.
