Wouldn’t he have made a bigger statement by staying a lefty and voting Repub? Then when the press asked why he voted the way he did, he could use his “I’m not happy with the direction my party is going” respons. Instead the Repub’s have another RINO.
Are there any Democrats left in Louisiana? It seems like all these “jumped parties” I’ve seen lately are there.

Its hard to believe LA was solidly Democratic four years ago. Now the only statewide elected Democratic official left is Mary “Baby Cheeks” Landrieu.
LA will become even more Red in November.
The GOP should require some type of internal vote before letting a Pol claim they are Republican. I am extremely leery of these people after the Congress we got in 2004, we never want that repeated again.
