I suppose everyone realizes that in effect that school district allowed the unions to have two sets of salaries and benefits and "retirement" for every classroom in the district?

That union has not nearly made the "concessions" necessary to make up for that!

They would only have to work 1/3 of the year. When you consider a 9-month school year, weekends, holidays, Christmas - whoops! - I mean Winter break, Easter - whoops! - I mean Spring break, 90 days of sick leave cuts the work year down to four months and change.

Oh, and I forgot vacation days, so it’s probably more like 1/4 of the year.
