Though, she's a licensed gun owner, she describes state law as leaving her defenseless.

Just what the hell is a licensed gun owner? If it means she has a concealed carry permit, why doesn't it say she has a concealed carry permit?

In my state, the legislature essentially told the state colleges and universities that they will observe the concealed permit laws. Next...

Yeah, I see that and "a licensed gun" and shake my head. It's a meaningless expression unless the possessor of the "licensed gun" lives in Illinois or New York State and I suppose it has some meaning in those states.

Are you a citizen of the US? Yes, okay then the US Constitution applies to you. The 2nd Amendment says that you have the right to use firearms to defend yourself (and your country).

I am not interested in whether or not you wish to be politically correct and apply for a concealed carry permit, I believe with all my heart that your job is to defend yourself and your family wherever you may be. If you are going to college then carry a concealed weapon when you attend class.

As long as you are a responsible, law abiding citizen then I have no problems with you carrying wherever you go. I see absolutely no reason why you should support your local law enforcement departments by paying to carry concealed. That is done through taxes and shouldn’t be done through fees.

If you stop in at a bar to unwind then use good judgment and you make the decision as to whether or not you should leave your weapon in your car. If you determine that you should leave your weapon in your car then I think you need to correct your drinking habits.
