Did he inform congress after action was begun?
To: Nachum
What is so disturbing is not this madman or his directives and actions, but the fact that so many are going along with him.
To: Nachum
I figured he’d say, “I Won”.

How can it be discrete if he just announced it to the world?

I cannot view this action as either doscrete or discreet. Neither of these words fist an open action in what could be a continuing involvement.

I wonder if he didn’t intentionally circumvent congress as a challenge to their authority. Knowing full well none of them have the balls to do anything about it. Which, btw, will further diminish the relevance of U.S. Constitution and render the separation of powers meaningless.

How can 110 Tomahawk missiles launched with media fanfare be “discrete”?
Maybe he means he was “discrete” as to whom he informed...which didn’t include Congress, until after the fact.

I don’t give a damn about Gaddahfi do you? I don’t give a damn about Libya do you? If you do, why? And more importantly, why now?
We have an out of control madman in the WH. If someone would dig deep enough, they would find his fingerprints all over the middleeast and the various uprisings. What do you think is going to replace each of these governments? It sure as hell won’t be a democracy.
And here we are with a commander in chief directing our military like toy soldiers and no one saying a word. That is what is disturbing.
