I consider this payback for Pam Am 103...

You guys who are against this simply because its Obama’s war wouldn’t be if this had occurred under Bush.

I don;t like Obama anymore than the next Conservative but, its long since past time we exacted a little bit of justice from him, especially since the so called release of the Lockerbie Bomber.

I hope he caught one of our TLAMS...

It would have made more sense to take Kadaffy out BEFORE his opposition became as anti-American as he is.

Evidentally, President Bush considered it paid back already. I don't think we can be using that legally as reason to bomb Libya in 2011

President Bush signed Executive Order 13477 restoring the Libyan government's immunity from terror-related lawsuits and dismissing all of the pending compensation cases in the US, the White House said.[103] US State Department spokesman, Sean McCormack, called the move a "laudable milestone ... clearing the way for a continued and expanding US-Libyan partnership."

While that may be true, it is still critical that Zer0 fail and cause a disaster.

Unlike Bush, Zer0 is acting only in the effort to improve his own public image. What's good for Americans and America is the farthest thing from his mind, and even a coincidental application of revenge is not worth giving a publicity boost to Zer0 and the traitor Rats in his cabinet.

It is far more important that Zer0 be exposed as incompetent and corrupt in the defense of America, as the media will never expose him as a competent traitor, seditionist and saboteur.

The point is that we don’t know who is going to replace him.

Just remember Carter railing against the Shah of Iran and his support of the uprising against him and look how that turned out — Mullahs and Ahmadinejad with nukes, Iran is a major supporter of terrorism, they have been sending weapons to Hamas, Hezbollah and working on destabilizing Iraq.

Do we really need another Iran?

Exactly right! We should have taken Kadaffy out back in 1986 but he has festered ever since. It took him no time at all to start threatening terrorist attacks against the World.

We have an outstanding opportunity to cleanse the World gene pool, and we shouldn’t squander it any longer. Regardless of how long it took us to get here, we have finally arrived.

I’m ambivalent about this because war has not been declared (well, is it or isn’t it? Commit to a decision either way), the goal has not been stated (you don’t attack a country just to give internal opposition an edge), and insofar as this is obviously about regime change there is no indication of what to change the regime to.

Declare war, go in full force, and set up a new specified government.
All in, or don’t bother.

Bush’s mistakes were not declaring war outright, and not having an organization ready to fill the power vacuum as fast as we took the prior regime down. The Obama is failing to heed these lessons; nay, it seems he has no idea what he’s in this for.

What I am hoping for is that the arab world breaks down into city states which cannot be assembled into a caliphate. This soes seem to unintentially further that outcome.

This has NOTHING to do with Pan Am 103. For one thing = bahmbi could care less about dead Americans.

Also, Reagan gave him a smart bomb straight through his front door - LITERALLY. It killed his young son.

That pulled his horns in for some time.

Then Bush backed him into a corner = where he agreed to get rid of his WMD and to help monitor shipments of arms to Iran and the PLO.

Quadaffi also hates Al Qaeda. They are deadly enemies.

I think it more likely that the above has bahmnbi upset with Quadaffi that more anything else.

You don't find it a bit unsettling that Al Qaeda has announced it's approval of bahmbis move? (Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that bahmbi is following their orders. They are friends, after all.)

The father of one of the Pan Am victims was on FOX this morning. He was not for this military action.
