I don't know if it's the epitome quite frankly. I stopped watching telly when I moved to hong Kong for a while and couldn't understand what was going on, then I just got used to it and realised how much more time I had and even when I moved out of hk, I kept the habit.
I was a big "friends" addict but I realised how even an innocuous program like that changes your beliefs -- before that I was a lot less accepting of lebsians and the divorce culture. It's a subtle way of changing a person. Plus it really frees up a lot of time for other things.

hardly a “bad freeper” — it’s your own choices. But I note that at least you’re watching: business and sports, not the TLC etc. channels or worse MTV types!
