Why would it take an hour to disarm this character?
Its only a steak knife, have a guard approach him from behind and just grab it. I don’t see what the great difficulty is here.
It took that long to determine if he was a left wing loonie or a right wing conservative that listens to talk radio. It's important to know so they can determine how to respond.
