The rules for Purim include drinking to the point where one cannot tell the difference between Mordechai and Haman. Which according to other sources is something less than sloppy drunk but just about sleepy drunk.

Only religious holiday I can think of that getting drunk is an obligation.

I found it interesting that Jerusalem celebrates Purim one day later because it is was a walled city like Shushan.
