When driving at night on a divided highway, don’t drive in the left lane unless you can see taillights in the lane ahead of you.

To someone going the wrong way, their right-hand lane is your left lane. Someone driving drunk is probably going to be extra “careful” and drive in their right lane.

You should always drive in the right lane unless passing.

A friend of mine is a VA Highway Patrol and he said the same thing. He will not drive in the left lane after dark.

The scary thing is that Powhite Parkway has a MEDIAN dividing the two lane hiways going in either direction. This is a major hiway used to travel around Richmond.
