I heard an interesting argument that Europe is able to invest a much higher percent of it’s GDP in social programs because we are their military back-up. We need to pressure them into carrying more of their own military burden, foot dragging helps promote this outcome. Obama is now speaking from Brazil announcing our launch of Tomahawk Missiles. He repeats we have no plans to put in ground troops. It was smart to get a unanimous vote from the Arab league.

There are 30 surface to air missile sites to take out, near Tripoli and Misrata and others. Will not take out sites near Benghazi. Saw elsewhere that Italy was now flying in addition to the French.
