because Libya is where Italy and France get a lot of their oil and where they and Germany have a lot of business investment which Qadaffi has threatened to destroy

Remember 25 years ago, we lost an F-11 and brave pilot out of Lakenheath because France would not let our guys fly through fench airspace to attack Qadaffi’s radars after he killed a US serviceman and threatened international shipping in the Gulf of Surt.
