Peshawar 19 march 2011, The Action has taken from district and session judge and chairman of Criminal Justice coordination committee Mr. Zia Ud Din khattak, who lead the meeting of committee in Peshawar. 13 members of the committee including Asad Hameed Bangash additional district and session judge also in the meeting. During the meeting of CJCC the chair note and observed that despite umpteen directions the police are not supplying copies of the FIR to the illaqa Magistrate and District Public prosecutor, which is the requirement of law, also in the meeting the chair observed that the ratio of services of the process of the courts has become alarming neither the accused are attending the courts nor the witnesses, which causes delay in disposal of the cases. It is observed during 1st January to 28 February 2011 the number of decided cases was 2363 whiled pending cases 1115. it was directed that criminal cases with then contemplation of article 155 and 156 of the police order 2002 be registered against the SHOs and investigation officers who are not completing the investigations and submit challan in court for trial. With the consensus of the participants a committee has constituted headed bye Asad Hameed Bangash ADSJ and DPP and DSP Legal Peshawar which shall visit central prison in order to determine the age of juvenile accused in coordination with the police child protection center and also to find the statues of their cases so the sad expedited and disposed of the earliest. The CCJC chairman directed also jail superintendent to shift the prisoners from the death cell to separate barracks. On the complaint of female probation officer the Chairman CCJC order central jail Peshawar to provide due access to the female probation officer in accordance with law.
Peshawar is a den of thieves.
Can’t imagine law and order prevailing there.
