Action to stop Libyan forces bombing rebels could start with a cruise missile strike to neutralise air defences, close-up bombing of runways and then patrols to enforce a no-fly zone, experts say.

Who knows? Personally, I think you're giving this White House (is it racist to call it that?) way too much credit.
As bad as K-Daffy is, better him than whatever will replace him. There no good way for this to end, one way or another.
Any “westerner” that loses his/her life in this Libyan Civil War is one dead person too many. Let them kill themselves.

Is that a specific no, or a generalization type no?
At least it’s not a no-no like we are happening on Libya.
The King of Saudi Arabia waves his hand and “we” start killing people.
That is murder.

“Psst it is all about the oil”
Actually, you are EXACTLY correct! I am in the oil and gas industry. For anyone who doubts your thesis, ask them to compare and contrast our response to Libya, with that to the poor people of Bahrain, also under maasive attack by their own government! But Bahrain has insignificant oil!

My own question: WHY does the USA not LEGALIZE offshore drilling again? It has been BANNED for a year now! Not to mention drilling in ANWR? That is a LOT cheaper than wars, and lost soldier’s lives!

It was a rebel operated MiG-23BN Flogger. The Pilot attempted to eject but was killed.

No canards. The still image captures the MiG-23 with a floodlite pole in the foreground. It gives the impression of canards/foreplanes. The ejection was unsuccessful

I figured that out after what I believed originally while I watched the aircraft drop to just about where your pic shows it....notice the cross beams at the pole in front of it. Well in the video as you may have noticed....the plane was rotating a bit along it’s x axis..... it looked like a forward conard wing. I was wrong. Thanks.
