The NPR vote was as meaningless as their claim that they CR offered “meaningful cuts”. This was a “stand alone” bill. meaning the Senate will kill it, and the NPR funding will go on and on. The House Leader-lessship of Bonehead, Can’t-or, et.al. think they are successfully fooling us into thinking they’re doing The Lord’s Work. Meh.

"I don't know why someone who quit their only important elected office for monetary gain even gets a say," Well, Palin gets a say for the same reason that this effing moron does-- because she is a citizen and we have the 1st Amendment.

But I thought that her star was fading, that her influence was dwindling...?

Now, it's all her fault that NPR lost its federal $$$$$.

I luv it!

By making it a standalone vote, it assures that Reid will kill it and NPR will rock on. Part of the smoke ‘n mirrors John Boehner plan, unfortunately.

Just like the standalone repeal of Obamacare. The real vote on Obamacare was the CR, and it passed. People like Mark Levin are on to Boehner, though. We’ll see what happens from here.

Yeah, that's why the prime ministers of two major democracies (India and Israel) are meeting with her this weekend.

Question for the assembled: Wasn’t Reagan the last pol with Presidential aspirations who openly called for the end of actual programs?

Palin strikes me as more Reagan-like with every passing day. The similarities between them are striking and the conditions on the ground now and(omg)32 years ago eerily reminiscent. Maybe we can finally start the necessary work of deconstructing the federal beast if she is elected.

The Senate cannot fund anything the House does not initiate.

Not only was it not “meaningless” but whacking at the CR at 2 Billion a week does not hurt either.

Some fools, of course, think they can turn the Queen Mary on a dime. They naturally know nothing but how to squawk.

Do we know if it’s a temporary suspension or a zot?

Reid killing it won’t help him nor fund NPR. Intelligent people understand that.

Bad. It marks the failure of the conservatives to win the culture war. Why not take over NPR? It’s a good outlet to promote culture and education.

Cutting 10% of 100% increases isn’t turning, it’s fiddling while America burns.

At least temporarily suspended. If he brings his vile comments back it will most likely be forever.

That piece has no bias whatsoever. Nope. Not in the picture selection or the text. None.
