President Obama refused to take questions about Japan from reporters Thursday morning, telling them he'd make a statement about Japan later in the day.
"I'm going to be making a statement later on Japan," Obama told reporters in the Oval Office after meeting with Ireland's prime minister. "So I'm not going to answer questions now."
The White House later said the statement would be at 3:30 p.m. in the Rose Garden.

I think I need to wash my hair at 3:30.
He didn’t want to talk without the ‘prompter.
Sadness.
He doesn’t speak, he lectures, rambles and obfuscates.
I have a hang nail, so I won’t be able to watch
Be still, my beating heart.
loading the totus?
lol.
So quick with these statements isn’t he? lol
He’ll have a statement on the Titanic any day now too.
Who is he picking to win?
This guy gets weirder every day.
The skittle pooping Unicorn will make an appearance.
The seas shall be lowered. The Sun shall shine, and all will be well again.
Be still my heart, as we unworthies await to receive the pearls of wisdom from the 'Won'...
Japan can rejoice. Help is on the way.
...or not
Correction: Obama to speak down on Japan.
TOTUS was broken or the puppetmasters hadn’t finished loading it into the prompter. The fact everyday Americans joke about how this guy hardly ever answers questions spontaneously, but relies on reading statements off his prompter should shame the media into doing their job. Alas, the sycophants continue to marvel at how smart this fool is.
Last month, my Gove Walker gave a press conference nearly every day about the union protestors and FleeBagger 14 state senators. Facing a hostile press, he would answer questions every day for 10-15 minutes without notes, without stuttering, and without sounding like he did not know exactly what he was talking about.
Obama is destined to replace Jimma Carter as worst POTUS in modern times, maybe ever.
What a piece of work this idiot is!
I will be thrilled if Obama improves to where he can be rated as the second worst occupant of our White House in the nation's history.
(Not so) coincidentally, that's during a (relative) break in the action in the NCAA tourney.
I’ll be outside working on my victory garden far away from the tv at 3:30.
