You've got that right.
10,000++ dead or missing - Meh...
Tens of billions of dollars of damage - Who cares...
People that have lost their homes and all their worldly possessions - Whatever...
Whole villages, towns, and cities wiped off the map - It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...
Roads, railroads, bridges wiped out - Huh?...
Nuclear Radiation - Extra! Extra! Read all about it!!
Our media is so screwed up, it isn't funny.
“will get boring fairly quickly”
As relates to problems such as nuclear melt downs... I could go for a real big helping of boring right now.
Wow, thanks for posting the pics. It’s really mindblowing to see the damage.
There are seven days worth of photos here:

I agree there is so much focused on those reactors many are forgetting this was a 100 year event tragedy...
What is going on in Japan is bigger than those reactors and spent fuel rod pools.
Much obliged.
I doubt I'm the only one. I strongly suspect that the lawyers in the flood of lawsuits are going to be asking these very questions, at least, if not the govt cya bureaucrats.
Oh...I don’t know...
You might start with the before and after of Sendai Airport

An answered prayer.
