It’s true, sometimes doing nothing is the best choice. Politically though I think obama and by extension hillary are looking feckless. So maybe it’s a win win for the republicans if they don’t screw it up.

That's just the point. Doing nothing does not mean saying nothing. If you have a good reason to stay out, and the fact that this is a fight between two groups of terrorists is as good a reason as any, then explain that in clear terms. Obama is doing nothing not because of a clearly defined reason, but because he is a lazy bum. Like i said doing the right thing for all the wrong reasons.
