Did you hear Frank Beckman’s discussion of this law? It’s probably available on the WJR website. He said it’s very similar to one that has been on the books for almost 20 years and is what has allowed Robert Bobb to be brought in during the Granholm administration to make some courageous decisions to get the Detroit Public Schools on track. Nothing can be done without the permission of the community that is being “managed”.
I’ve never been Rick Snyder’s biggest fan but I am impressed with the way he’s chosen to fight the unions from odd directions.
