When every officer of government, at every level and in every branch, has sworn before God to defend the Constitution, the idea that no one is responsible to do so is ridiculous.
It is your way of thinking that has led us to where we are. Nobody is responsible, and therefore even the simplest principles and provisions of the Constitution are rendered entirely of no effect.
They have sworn to defend the Constitution. They have not sworn to add things in so that it can be interpreted the way they want in order to defend it that way.
It is your way of thinking that shows why many “Constitutionalists” dont really want to follow the Constitution, but want to treat it as a living document, and thus lose credibility for anyone trying to preserve the Constitution.
