Germany ? They decided 10 years ago to quit nuclear power plants until 2020-2025 and go green with wind/solar and biomass. They should ask the russians instead. Why ? Simple.
Russia:
- Is the only country in the world with expert knowledge in nuclear desasters
- Is close by so they have interesst in fixing this shit soon
- I close by so logistics shouldn’t be too complicated
The Russians would have been good and still can contribute. They can give templates on how to convince people to sacrifice themselves for the common good.
Because these plants are in meltdown, including the spent waste rods. This is going to go on for awhile. It is not apocalyptic nor Chernobyl, but with 4 plus plants involved, it has the potential to equal Chernobyl’s 1 if they all meltdown.
This is not panic, it is what’s going on. That smoke is carrying dangerous radioactive particles.
It seems the “don’t panic” people are in a panic. How is it that the Japanese PR has been so slow and faulty when the top US nuclear energy guy goes there and says with certainty that the pool is dry?
