I remember it well; I was a 3rd year law student in DC at the time (1979). The farmers came from as far away as Missouri and even Colorado, and would do things like block outbound traffic on the 14th Street Bridge every so often. They had been in town for 4 or 5 months.

They agreed to plow the streets after it snowed 28 inches in 24 hours over the George Washington’s birthday holiday weekend. Congress voted them a small relief bill in thanks and they left town.

seems this will only happen during/in front of camera reports.

These people are just union thugs trying to confuse piss poor teachers or public employees with farmers.
