big-time feminist who flat-out said that women cannot be given the choice to be a fulltime wife and mom, because a huge lot of 'em would choose that.

Mrs WBill is in the education field (peripherally, she's only teaching one night class while raising the kids. She enjoys it, gets her out of the house, makes a few bucks, keeps her contacts fresh for later, but I digress.....)

Anyhoo, you'd be astonished at the venom she gets from her (uber-liberal) boss, her (liberal) co-workers, her (lib)friends. "When are you going to give up this stupid idea of staying at home, and come back to work full time for me?", her boss says.

Fortunately, my wife has no problem with telling them all to get stuffed. That's one of the myriad reasons that I married her.

I blame guilt and jealousy. Most of Mrs WBill's loudest critics don't have kids, and those that do, stick them in a daycare for 12 hours a day. I can't imagine putting a career over raising children. Dumb.

I don't talk too much about HOW AWESOME it is to take care of one's children at home, in case it seems like I'm being strange, but I can't think of a better way of spending time, in this short journey called life.

Big secret: kids are only small for a short time, and when they aren't small anymore, you aren't young anymore, either. What was more important? The office, and slaving in a corporate intellectual sweatshop for some CEO and Board of Directors and shareholders, or looking for ladybugs with a bunch of your kiddos on a warm, spring day?
