the valley surrounding Jerusalem’s old city is called “Gehenna” and used to be the ancient site of temples to Mollech where first-born children were burned in ritual sacrifice
This practice is mentioned and condemned in the Old Testament. Perhaps the story of Abraham being tested to sacrifice his son Isaac, and then being spared, represents a turning point in the nature of what God “expects” from man
(ironically at the site atop Mt Moriah now covered by the al-Aqsa mosque of the moon god who still demands such submission)
That is true, because Islam didn't exist until the 5th century AD
