Daddy worked at Tyndall from around 1949 until 53 when they laid off nearly the entire civilian work force. I was only a 5 or 6 year old kid but every now and then he would let me go to work with him.

It was fascinating watching those jets take off and land. After a couple of years selling insurance, Daddy got back on at Eglin and worked there until he retired.

I'm coming up on my 41st anniversary of my tour in Vietnam and am feeling melancholy and Patriotic tonight, bare with me..:=)

This was my squadron, 1/9th Cav...Too many friends dead, too many bad memories...It's amazing how some anniversaries can make you feel bad...

But, hey I will always love my Country and God Bless the USA!!
