This is a House Bill that is supposed to come up for a vote THIS week. I covered some of the more troubling, (IMHO) powers that will be held by this “Authority”, but if you follow the link, I assure you, that you will find MANY more.

So. If you have a problem with this interesting, perpetually existing, mushrooming bit of governance, please share this information with any one who will listen, and call your Representative to tell him/her NO.

This is a Georgia plan for getting ObamaCare up and running here : |

It is being backed by our Republican Gov., and Republicans in both Houses : /

The Representatives who are hesitating on it, are being “coerced” with the line that if “we” (meaning Georgia) don’t make a plan, then the Feds will come in and do it for us....

I agree wholeheartedly. Spoke with our Representative Saturday at our GOP county convention, (he is a freshman), and he said it was unbelievable that ANY Republicans were backing this.

Call your Rep, and if you have the time, call or email ALL the Republicans and put ‘em on the spot.

It is clear that WE have to be Doc in this showdown : \

Prayers for Japan.

The authority shall have perpetual existence.

Wasn't it Reagan who said something like: 'the closest thing to eternal life on earth is a government program'

Yup. And then there are these little wonders -

(5) To acquire by purchase, lease, or otherwise and to hold, lease, and dispose of real or personal property of every kind and character, or any interest therein, in furtherance of the public purpose of the authority;

(6) To apply for and to accept any gifts or grants or loan guarantees or loans of funds or property or financial or other aid in any form from the federal government or any agency or instrumentality thereof or from the state or any agency or instrumentality thereof or from any other source for any or all of the purposes specified...

This is backed by a Republican Governor, and Republicans in both Houses : |

They clearly did NOT get the message, so it is up to us to reinforce it.

ATTENTION ALL GEORGIANS!

We shared this information with our Tea Party’s membership last night, and hopefully the ripple effect of calls/faxes/emails here, and from the Tea Partys will remind the Republicans to do what they were sent there to do!

In light of Nov. 2010, it is incredible that anyone had the guts to author this at all, and worse, that it is being backed by Republicans : o

It would seem that they truly believe we are all idiots, or are thinking/hoping that we have gone back to sleep.

Please do contact the Governor, your Representatives and as many Republicans as you can, and let them know that WE ARE WATCHING, and THEY are FAILING.

Thank you all again, and may God give us strength.
Tatt

Or Jeff Chapman...

The good news is that this past Saturday, our Tea Party did the melting pot thing with our county GOP,and from what I understand, that has been happening allll over Georgia. So, I darn sure hope the 2012 primary environment is a LOT more welcoming to candidates who ain’t already members of The Club : /

That is the plan anyway.

Prayers for Japan.

Milton Friedman said that there is nothing more permanent than a temporary government program.

Now THERE, is a Statesman.

We were honored to have him serve. And hopefully, we can get him to run for some office again... anything, because he has no shortage of backbone to do what is right.

Apologies, but I am going to include a message from our sponsors in my reply to you : \
