Deutsche Banker Suspended For Taunting Protestors With A £10 From His Office Window

A Deutsche banker has been suspended after TV reporters caught him taunting protestors who were demonstrating against the National Health Service in London last week.

According Here is the City, a group of Deutsche bankers were captured at the window of the firm's London HQ, pointing and laughing at demonstrators.

One of them was waving around what appeared to be a £10 note, and allegedly mouthing "get a job" at the protestors.

The chairman of the Medical Practitioners' Union told the Mirror, "It was shocking to see people acting in this way when we passed the bank. If it wasn't for the greed of bankers, the economy wouldn't be in such a mess, and there's a good chance the NHS wouldn't have to be making such devastating cuts."

A spokesperson for Deutsche Bank said, "These photos appear to show conduct that is unacceptable and unrepresentative of our bank. We are looking into the matter, have suspended the individual involved, and will hold him accountable for his actions."

Financiers in the UK have been angered by unrelenting "banker bashing" but this will certainly prolong the public discontent. This comes on the same week that the former chief of RBS got a superinjunction that forbids him from being called a "banker" in the press, and the week after a ton of English bankers got massive bonuses for 2010.

What really bothered them was that £10 is more than the mob organizers were paying them...

This is nothing. The last dustup in the City, bankers (lots of them, too!) were making Xeroxes of £50 notes, trimming them to size and then throwing them out the windows at the demonstrators.

And photos of Rolexes, besides. Piss on DeutscheBank for their attitude now.

He should have gotten the super duper injunction that forbids anyone from mentioning the b-word at all even when referring to the injunction itself.

While I'm usually not on the side of the antagonistic press, I would applaud them referring to this guy with an aside of "(who cannot be called a "banker" due to court order)" every time they mention his name.

What kind of journalist uses that language? A partisan one...

Guess these bankers don’t understand they’re supposed to be the outraged, not the outragers.

The guy should get a promotion, and every Freeper should be supporting him.

Making fun of left wing socialists should always be encouraged.

Everything, every last thing, must pass through a political filter. Absolutely no exceptions. Depending on which filter is used somehow determines the truth. I just don’t get it.

“Depending on which filter is used somehow determines the truth.”

Not sure what you mean by that.
Fact is I have been exposed to “protests” by some “community activist” groups in my area. I work in the financial industry.

They are strongly left wing and anti business, pro illegal immigration.. And they have a collectivist mindset.
They are professional protesters. The paid staff “gins up” the members to come into town and protest something on a regular basis.
The last protest was in support of the union types in Wisconsin.
Sometimes it's against agriculture. Sometimes against the banking industry.

I have a very strong dislike for groups like this. Most of them have never been a business owner or been accountable for their performance in private industry.
Most of them get a monthly check from some government or union entity.

I am assuming the people protesting against Deutsche Bank are cut from a similar cloth.

Certain truths must always be decided by one's own personal ideology. Right/wrong, conservative/liberal, whatever. Nothing matters except which political "team" you happen to be on. Since I personally find them all self-serving hypocrites I have a hard time making any distinctions. It's just a game.

It's been a good run here at FR but I think it's time to say good bye. I'll take the liberty of responding to whatever parting shots I get in my final post. The door hitting me in the ass on my way out is the least of my concerns.

I wish you all a very fond farewell.

As ‘hydroshock’ did in days past you tried to tell people the emperor had no clothes. It seems you have failed. The fed will rule and the 50 state AGs will be bought off and property law will be forever reverted to the times of lords and peasants. It is a shame the people could not see what was happening to them. Best of luck in your future endeavors! Maybe you should just try to have fun and forget the problems of the nation.
