I’m an American in Japan . 2 days ago I told my wife that I bet there were at least 25-30,000 people dead . My guess may turn out to be conservative .

I remember hearing a report back on Friday that maybe 80,000 people could be unaccounted for, especially along the coastline where the high tsunami wiped out many smaller towns.

We may be talking the worst natural disaster to strike Japan since the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake....
