Families in outer suburbs that had water and electricity paired up with families from the city so they could come out and shower, do laundry, etc. College students by the thousands helped people shovel and carry the "sludge" that rose up through the ground and covered wide areas. Contrast that with the college students in Wisconsin....sigh....
Oh, my. It’s sickening when you think how our college students would react to being asked to take part in the clean up.
