I agree with you on everything except that we should stop using corn to create fuel. Why?
Because corn (maize) is a very poor source of nutrition. It makes better sense to use it as animal fodder.
Corn syrup? No, the items that use it are better left off of everyone’s diet!
If there is one beneficial result of this crisis, hopefully it will that less people buy prepackaged food and start eating sensibly.
Then use it as animal fodder. I can tell you my son is a mechanic, and has a very poor opinion of it as a fuel.
