WASHINGTON (AP) -- Searching for laughs - and finding them - president Barack Obama spared few targets Saturday night, from Democratic allies to Republican antagonists to the journalists who cover him.
At his first presidential appearance before the Gridiron Club, Obama picked up on the spirit of the evening, leveling jokes in every direction including his own.

Schedule for the Week of March 14, 2011
On Monday, the President will visit Kenmore Middle School in Arlington, VA where he will deliver a speech on education. Later, the President will welcome Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen of Denmark to the White House. The President looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Rasmussen the strong ties between the United States and Denmark, the common global and security challenges our two nations face, including counterterrorism, the situation in the Middle East and economic and environmental issues.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.
On Thursday, the President will welcome the Taoiseach of Ireland to the White House in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Later, the President will attend a St. Patrick’s Day lunch at the U.S. Capitol. In the evening, the President and the First Lady will host a St. Patrick’s Day reception at the White House.
On Friday evening, the First Family will travel to Brasilia, Brazil.
Obama should have not attended. Also he should not have golfed today. A leader would see the events of yesterday, the profound loss of life and tragedy and recognize today is NOT a day to joke around.
But this is Obama, so no doubt it was ‘sweet! Party on!’
I personally think attendees should have politely excused themselves from this event - Japan is torn apart, the Mideast is exploding, we’re at a crisis point. Just stop and do your jobs and stop with the parties right now.
Glad Obama could get out tonight after a tough day on the Golf Course.

0bama was celebrating the Palestinian terrorist action in the killing of an Isreali family which included the stabbing of a baby. He is all wee wee’d up on that news.
