To be honest I don’t know. They remain radioactive a long time as the half life of the fuel rods is pretty long. Remember they domed over the Chernobyl plant that went critical and nobody’s going to be going in there for a few thousand years.

That’s what I thought. thousands of years, that’s why I’ve never like nuclear power. Just seems to risky.
