All that radioactivity getting into the ocean makes me wonder if it would kill off everything for miles? Wonder if it could poison the whole ocean?

Well, look at all of the fish dying lately as well. The sardines that washed up recently were tested and had a toxin in their blood stream. They have different answers as to why this is happening. Not only fish but birds dropped out of the sky dead. Is this all related? I have no idea.

I don’t think it will kill them... but they will be contaminated... and as far advanced as Japan is... they are really lacking in common sense... they have been eating contaminated fish for decades (mercury).. but, overall, I think that Japanese people will adapt and overcome this quite quickly... don’t underestimate these robot to fast ;)

I am not an expert but I do not think one plant having a meltdown would poison the entire pacific ocean. If that were the case no environmentalist group would ever have let these plants ever be built near water.

Generally if a meltdown occurs, the fuel rods get so hot they melt through the bottom of the containment vessel and burn themselves deep into the ground. They go down vertically. Not out to sea.
