My apologies. I meant no offense. (Frankly, I wasn't expecting the ferocity of reaction this posting has elicited.)

Perhaps we can agree to disagree?

I'm in support of this legislation because:

1. Forced membership in a union, as I see it, is a violation of the principle of free association.

2. Why allow such an obvious corruption of liberty and our political process to remain simply because it is "established."

3. The timing is right.

And I apologize as well GV. I was thinking after I posted that, that we are on the same side here; it's only a disagreement.

The disagreement we have is about who best to restrict the Unions (public unions should be abolished entirely imo). I agree with you 1000% regarding the forced participation. It goes against everything this Nation stands for and if you've ever been 'forced' into the union during some point you can clearly see it's legalized extortion (same as IRS).

Finally, I'm so agitated and angry at the newly elected I could scream. That is because they are most likely going to vote yes on a continuing resolution and in that (I'm talking house here) is funding that will just keep the Deathcare alive and thriving!

The Senate as well; when I see them going off on jaunts like this (imo) it's simply to evade what is coming and not solve or try to solve our dire situation. And that's what they were elected to do! To STOP Obama.
