how does this compare with “normal” earth wobble?
Your question is above my pay grade. :-)
Does anyone know how far inland the tsunami went?
I don’tknow how many wobbles the earth has but I have read that there is a IFIRC precession wobble (gyroscopic?) that cycles around 10,000 yrs. I can’t recall if it was some theorized hit that got it going.
It’s nothing.
The Earth Axis always moves. It moves in a huge circle every 20,000 some odd years, and little quakes shift it to and fro all the time.
This wasn’t even the largest quake “recorded” so whatever little shift occurs isn’t anything compared to ones that were larger.
All of these people breaking out their bibles, and hoping that this means Jesus will be coming soon to their BBQ, are just being silly and overly dramatic.
For one thing, this would be a sharp change, as opposed to the rather smooth, long period changes usually seen.
It would be really interesting to see how precise satellite ranging (as for GPS satellites) reflected the quake, if at all.
Yes, its coming folks.
Revelation 6:12
And I saw, when he had opened the sixth seal, and behold there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood:
