I did a google search on those alleged eruptions and cannot find any legitimate news source reporting them.
I keep a very close eye on all the volcanos in and near Alaska, especially since I live not too far from a couple mostly down wind and I don’t see any elevated warnings.
I am near Wasilla Alaska right now.
I was looking for the same thing, and found one questionable weather news source : /
However, I did find the Global Volcanic site, that is affiliated with USGS, and the part I found interesting was that they were not up to date. Their data was for the week of March 2 through the 8th. Here is the link -http://www.volcano.si.edu/reports/usgs/
That being said, as of last week, there were active volcanos in Russia and Indonesia, and new activity, (as of last week) was in Kilauea in Hawaii : /
Also, I found a google geo-earth map that was updated to today, and it did show new/increased activity.
Here is the link for that -http://www.geocodezip.com/v2_activeVolcanos.asp?lat=20.149&lon=163.535&type=map&zoom=1
If you find anything else/better/new, please give me a shout ya’ll.
Prayers for Japan.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Perhaps check the ATS earth quake thread and the volcano links from the OP of that thread.
MM, I wouldn’t try to link any eruptions to this earthquake - too much distance and time.
What is interesting about this quake was that on Tuesday in the exact same area was a 7.2 mag quake that generated a small tsunami, with a swarm of mag 4-5+ aftershocks. This could have been a foreshock to last night’s event - or wildly the 8.9 could be considered even an ‘aftershock’.
This will generate a lot of seismological reports in the following years for sure.
