I hope that the small size of the islands and shape of the sea floor leading up to the small islands will reduce the wave height - but I’m not sure. A tsunami occurs when all that volume of water has to fit into a smaller space because of the upsloping seabed. But perhaps (????) with a small island, there is enough room off to the sides of the island for the water to move to so it doesn’t get quite as deep on shore as would be for a large land mass.
