One of the big reasons public employees are so screwed up is affirmative action. It destroys worker morale and makes merit and dedication meaningless. It's hard to have faith in a system that continues to promote illiterate morons who are a certain gender or color. It will get even worse now that sexual perverts are added to the special group.

Where I worked they had a huge deal to get more women and minorities promoted. I lost a couple promotions because of it. Told to my face. More important to promote women.

Saw the writing on the wall, gave them 4 weeks notice. My section boss was shocked saying he had such great plans for me. It was the first I ever heard about it.
