JERUSALEM (AP) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Republican Sen. John McCain is joining his call urging the release of an American convicted of spying for Israel more than two decades ago.

Spying for a foreign country and McCain even needs to think about this? Did he ever swear an oath to defend it?
Damn Russian spies with links to the Clintons get sent back to sweet banking jobs in Russia.
Oh that’s rich- a war hero advocating for the release of a convicted spy with blood on his hands. FUJM!!! That little bitch can rot in prison forever.
Lemme trundle out the usual defenses:
He was a patriot, he wasn’t giving the Israeli’s anything they weren’t already “entitled” to anyway, anyone who doesn’t like it hates Jews, Israel is a dear ally, Israel is very small (12 km at it’s most narrow point), the holocaust was really terrible, uh....anyone who objects is a Nazi...uh, what am I missing...
Anyone?
I hope he not only dies in jail, but that every day there is agonizing for him.
I forgot one — “He did it out of conscience, and not for payment” (which is wrong)
Not everybody thinks he is "a HERO".. he may have been "the snitch" in Hotel Hanoi..
1. McLame was rude and disrespectful towards Viet Name POW/MIA groups nearly two decades ago. Now he wants to release a spy. What the hell is it with this guy?
2. Obviously Pollard still has knowledge in his head that his spymasters want kept secret. If he stays in long enough, sooner or later he'll offer to trade it for time off.
Which leads to my position - let him rot. A deal only if and maybe he gives up something worth having!
No other spys get sentenced to life in prison, just the Jew. Interesting. Spys that have done far worse that the low level crap this guy did were traded back to our worst enemies, yet this guy rots forever and he is from our “friends”. Also interesting.
The whole situation stinks to high heaven. Something does not add up here. I suspect a personal vendetta by someone in high places.
Seriously?
The fact that Israel is still working to get him released strongly implies that he did something very important for them and/or he still has some very valuable information that they want or don’t want known.
Another implication is that he did something very damaging to the United States.
Leave him in jail, and how I wish McCain would retire.
Pollard is a traitor and should have been shot long ago.
It’s not too late to do the right thing. I’ll even pay for the cartridges.
Rude and disrespectful? Understatement in the extreme. McCain and Kerry made sure that the MIAs and the POWs left behind in Vietnam never came home. Evil man.
Considering the fact that Henry Kissinger floated this idea a week or so ago I suspect Mccain's one world government handlers told him to advocate for Pollard's release.
McCain has shown an extraordinary ability over the past month or two to shoot straight thru to the fringe of the subject.
While his party is waging budgetary war, McCain is navigating around the edges of minor issues.
Is he playing the decoy? Or the dilittante?
