Hope it doesn't happen in California. I pay cash as much as possible. Just bought something over $300 from a guy and paid him with twenties. Sometimes I use hundreds as they're easier to carry. Cash as I go and I am debt-free.

this sounds like a win to me. if we all pay for everything with $50's, they'll be flooded, and the data won't be worth squat.

You’re right; this is a way to manage the mice in the maze. Fortunately (!) there are so many illegals here in NJ that cash is and always will be king - W2s aren’t even on the radar for these people who work for and shop with cash. Ask them their names - they have 5 apiece with proper ID!
