FRC Action PAC Endorses Bryce Reeves for State Senate March 09, 2011

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected to Family Research Council Action, the legislative advocacy arm of the Family Research Council, endorses Bryce Reeves for Virginia State Senate District 17.

Bryce Reeves is taking on Sen. Edward Houck, a 26-year incumbent who is out of touch with the values of Virginia State Senate District 17. Last year Senator Houck voted against a measure that prevented taxpayer funds from being used for abortion. And recently he was one of the 20 Democratic senators who voted against common sense regulation of abortion clinics. He voted against these regulations even though recent events inside and outside of Virginia point to the need for them. "It is time we replace Senator Houck with someone who is truly committed to the pro-life cause," said Connie Mackey, President of FRC Action PAC. "Bryce Reeves fulfills that requirement."

"He is a committed conservative dedicated to life and the family. As a small business owner with a law enforcement background, Bryce has the experience that will best serve his constituents. Virginia deserves a senator like Bryce Reeves who will defend the family and small businesses from over-taxation and government intrusion. Leaders who will defend the future for generations from the overwhelming burden of debt are critical.

"FRC Action PAC supports Bryce Reeves as a strong advocate for the issues that uphold and strengthen the family and the community. We are pleased to support his candidacy."
