Voter ID has a financial component - free ids to the mythical “too elderly” and “too poor” to afford a $5 id.
IDs are $10.
I cannot think of one area of public life for anyone, whatever age, whatever level of dependency, that does not require ID. You need ID for benefits. You need ID for Medicare/Medicaid/SSI.
I first want them to establish how many legal citizens lack ID. I don’t see how there can be any. If they find someone, I will be surprised.
