1. Ones that the Tea Party can support
AND
2. Also rans

Funny, but in a lot of estimations-- like Charles Krauthammers and other Establishment types, Sarah Palin is not in the top tier. But I like this rundown.
The point that Michelle Bachman could be Palin-like without the battle damage is sure interesting. But don't we all know that she will get "Borked" just as badly?

If Trump decides to run, he’ll be in the top tier because he won’t settle for less. He’ll outperform Gingrich in the long run.

Our best bet is to watch what they are doing, and don't let the media - even the so-called conservative media - TELL YOU what they are doing.
The liberals want to pick a "McCain-like" candidate for us, (can you say McRomney?), and the old GOP wants to pick one of the country club good-ol' boys (can you say McRomney?).
Listen and make up your own minds. The campaign hasn't officially started yet.
The MSM want obama to stay in office, so no matter what else they say or do, remember that is their ultimate goal.
2012 is going to be one of the weirdest elections in our lifetimes, probably in the history of America. The liberal/progressives will be pulling out all of the stops, including ACORN, Black Panthers, etc, not to mention the secretary of states gang (the vote COUNTERS).
I think it's going to get mean, especially if obama is the underdog...but, we cannot fear going to the polls. It won't matter what shenanighans they pull if we show up en masse as we greatly outnumber them...and they know it.

“The winning candidate will most likely be the one who raises the most money. There is always the Trump card — although some mock the chances of Donald Trump has of winning the nomination, due to his tendency to speak off the cuff and socially liberal leanings, if he can convert the $2 billion he is reportedly worth into liquid assets, HE COULD BUY THE PRESIDENCY.”
That doesn’t speak well for this country or the voting public.
No one should be able to buy the office.

Bachmann is less than a year younger than Huck, 4 years older than TPaw and 7 years older than Palin. It’s not so much that she’s ‘young’ as that she looks terrific!

Here are the real tiers, 3 of them
GOP/Esablishment/RINO picks:
Mitch Daniels
Haley Barbour
Jon Huntsman
Tim Pawlenty
Jeb Bush
Marco Rubio
Has been losers with big egos:
Romney
Huckabee
Newt
Real conservatives - supported by the grassroots/base/hated by the elites:
Palin
Bachmann
Cain
Paul
(I did not include Pence or Christie as each said that they are not running)

My “two tiers”:
RINOs with no chance in h*ll: Romney et al
Conservatives: The rest

Two tiers:
1. The ones the MSM will try to shove down our throat, and
2. The ones we actually want.

Rush Limbaugh, Head of the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies, suggests voting for “the most Conservative candidate - period”.
I think endorsements are going to be important in this race. Someone has to get our front & sort it out for the less sure among us.
Also, a Presidential debate would be decisive.
