You know, someone doesn’t even have to bodily collide with another skier to know them down. All they have to do is clip the end of their skis and someone can go flying.

I didn’t see any evidence the girl was in a ski school lesson. There are a lot of teens who learn how to ski, become overly confident, run through the bunny slopes adjacent to young beginning skier classes, focused on getting to the chair lift before avoiding possible collisions.

I would think the ski resort would very much have kicked her off the slopes for both out of control skiing and possibly assault.

I forget, but a skiing collision in some Colorado resorts used to lead to criminal charges. It really doesn’t take much to kill, maim, or cause permanent injury due to careless skiing on slopes congested with beginners and kids.

A punch in the face is far less threatening than a full impact with a skier traveling even at moderate downhill speeds or a loose ski flying through the air.
