Would someone who never had the social skills to spend 6 hours a day in a classroom be any good in a bunker or a submarine. Maybe a nuke silo in Nebraska. Do we still have those?

Probably better than those whose social skills are learned from their peers in the typical public school...
The ol’ “social skills” again.
OK, I homeschool my daughter. She is well socialized and dances about 30 hours a week this year, her senior year of high school. She is currently taking an online college class, not a cyber school, in US History. She is also doing Calculus with her Engineering father.
SOME people want to do OTHER things than sit in a d@mn school all day, because they ARE well socialized.
In fact, most schools campus designs are based on low security prisons. So, I guess brick and mortar schools prepare people to end up in jail, right?
yesh.
What do social skills have to do with anything? The civilian social skill set has very little to do with the military culture and he’s going to learn that (or would) beginning in recruit training.
Furthermore, there has been and will continue to be a growing need in this high-tech world for people with good computer skills and who can interact intuitively in virtual environments. This guy has that part down, at least.
My high school was totally dysfunctional. There was gay sex in the bathrooms, girls giving their boyfriends knobbers right across the street from the campus, dope smoke in the corridors and race fights between the “African-American” and “Mexican-American” youth groups almost weekly.
I spent most school days in the public library until I was old enough to take the test, never went back. Lord knows I never missed the “social skills” that high school could have instilled.
Do you really think that school teaches social skills? Really? Ever noticed how “socialized” our youth today are? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
Did you forget the 'sarq'?
Or are you serious.
If you are, what part of spending "6 hours a day in a classroom' require or assure 'social skills'?
See my post # 52, if you are serious, and buy a clue.
I honestly hope your post was tongue in cheek -
WOuld someone with the social skills developed in a government school classroom be of any use anywhere other than a mosh-pit?
