Unions should have gone the way of the Pinto... The idea of government employee unions is simply absurd!
I can understand why private corporation unions have existed, but can NOT understand why government unions were ever allowed to happen. My guess, (actually, understanding), is that those government workers wanted more and those that they elected thought that it was a good idea to keep them happy.
All public unions need to be abolished!
It takes doublethink. Most of us saw Orwell's 1984 as a cautionary tale; the kind of folks who head up unions and the Democrat Party saw it as a how-to manual.

When one shines the light of truth on unions, just as one shines light on cockroaches.
Neither can stand the light therefore both hide. One behind meaningless words the other in dark corners.
You are right on target! Unions are not for the workers, the UNIONS are for UNIONS!
Democrats always support unions, and unions always support Democrats. It’s a match made in hell.

No one ever mentions that it was the unions that fought for secret ballots in organizing elections in the first place, as well they should have. I give them credit for that. To now turn around and say that secret ballots somehow hurt the worker is not only hypocritical given their earlier stand, but absurd on its face. Shows how far unions have deteriorated from the time when they actually served a purpose.
In our society we can take for granted than a businessman has his own best interests at heart when he negotiates with employee unions.
If not, it is only his own money he is giving away.
We cannot take for granted that ELECTED officials have our best interests at heart when they negotiate with public employee unions that support his candidacy bus voters to the polls and give him campaign money.
And it is OUR money they are signing away long term with sweetheart deals.
I’m pretty sure if Thomas Sowell ran for president I would vote for him.
“Employee Free Choice Act.”
