Absolutely right. Gee went and tried to twist arms at city hall and even the state house. He did succeed in stopping any state help for the downtown arena, mainly by playing on legislators from the Cleveland area who had an absolute hissy fit that the NHL didn't want to be in Cleveland. The Schott was the result, paid for by our tax dollars while Nationwide was a totally private venture.
