No one knew Reagan’s greatness. But they knew his unbridled conservative message, which he had honed since 1964. They knew two successful terms in the state of CA. And they knew he was the leader of the conservative wing of the party and a fantastic speaker. Considering Palin supports the feminist, federal government, powergrabbing boondoggle (Title IX) which Reagan tried to kill (but whose veto was over-ruled by the dems and RINOs) and she ignorantly supports the sovereignty usurping UN power grab (LOST) which Reagan did kill - temporarily - let’s look for someone who at least understands what Reagan stood for.

I don’t know who I want to support yet. So far, every Republican that seems electable has some negatives. However, you are not helping your cause. I know you won’t believe this, so go ahead, continue to not help your cause. And good luck!

.... actually, he had been honing his message long before that. I always like to post his Eureka College Commencement Address from 1957. He wrote that himself -- it's a masterpiece that pretty faithfully lays the foundations for his later political life.

When Sarah Palin can actually write a speech like that, then she might be ready to go.

Funny you mention Reagan. Even though this isn't one of your "Palin-is-for-amnesty" rants...

The 1986 immigration reform bill signed by President Reagan "legalized" almost 3 million illegal immigrants. Any immigrant who was here illegally was granted AMNESY.

In a 1984 debate with Mondale, Reagan said,

"I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and lived here, even though sometime back they may have entered illegally," he said.

Reagan's "unbridled conservative message," must have veered slightly off-course regarding immigration. But he believed what he believed and did not apologize - just like Sarah Palin. Reagan would admire and support Sarah Palin, and your view that she is not conservative, or conservative enough, is ridiculous.
